Zorro (z)

2012  |  Mesa Community College

Directed by Oscar Giner  |  Costumes by Lindsey Halfhill  |  Lighting by Kenzie Olson | Sound by Solomon Cruz

Zorro (Z), written and directed by Oscar Giner, was a devised piece that retold the story of how Oscar met his wife, told through the lens of his childhood hero Zorro. The piece was broken up into episodes of poetry, some scripted, some made up entirely on the spot.

The set called for a ritualistic space that combined Catholicism, Cuban voodoo, and alchemy.
