A Bright Room Called Day explores the choices of a group of friends and artists in Berlin as the Nazi Party steadily gains power throughout the 1930s.

This set was built in the round, with details pulled directly from 19th-century Berlin tenements. The muted earth tones for the color palette were inspired by real-life paintings by so-called "degenerate" artists that the Nazis persecuted throughout the show.
